Small Business 360 – 000 – Introduction

Podcast
Hi, I'm Peter George, and this is the intro episode, episode triple zero. People have often asked me, "What is the lifestyle guide for Gen X or the guide for Gen X?" My answer is, "It's the next big thing." Gen X generally is anywhere between 1963-ish to about the early 1980s, and it's the generation which will take everything forward from here on. It's going to replace the baby boomers.

One of the problems that I see with Gen X is trying to understand business today, and especially the social side of business today, and also the marketing, all the new ways of marketing. If you listen to Gary Vaynerchuk, Eric Worre, or a few of the other guys, major players in marketing, marketing is changing [quickfold 00:01:09]. It’s significantly changing. Social media today, in my opinion, is now the new television. If you have a look at Facebook, Facebook is just your general television station, covers everything, and then you have your specific stations, just like you do with Discovery Channel, which is then becoming Pinterest, Twitter, Instagram, and so on and so on.

That’s what this is all about. It’s not just for Generation X. It’s all for all people to learn and share and just have a great time and find out my thoughts as well as what I’ve learned over the years in the businesses that I’ve run. Also, we’ll be doing interviews. We’ll be seeking out some of the best of the best, not only in Australia but globally, to help you guys understand where the world of marketing media and also lifestyle and travel and a few other things that’ll go along, just to make it a little bit more fun. That’s my main aim, I think, is the Gen X Guide, and that’s to entertain or educate in the world of business but also provide information on lifestyle and travel.

That’s come about with a few things that happened to me. I’ve had to change my lifestyle, and I’m in the midst of doing that. That’s what I want to share, and just make sure that the journey that I’m just about to go on, I share with everybody else, so that you can see that changes can be made. That’s the triple O episode.

Feel free to jump over to petergeorgemedia.com. There’s a section there that you can ask away any questions. On Fridays, about 4:00 in the afternoon, Australian eastern daylight time, I’ll jump on Facebook for about half an hour or so. If you’ve got any questions to do with business, travel, or lifestyle, I’ll get them answered for you.

Whether I can answer them or not is one thing, but I’ll definitely get them answered by the reach of people that I have. My knowledge is good, but it’s not always the knowledge that gets asked. Yes, I have a team of people that I can call on to help you guys out, and this is what it’s all about. Today I feel that there’s not enough help out there for people. We’re all quick to criticise or argue about things or find the negative of things, so I just want to bring positive into people’s lives.

Once again, if you’ve listened to this episode, the episode triple zero, thanks for taking the time. I really appreciate it. Make sure that you subscribe if you’ve hooked onto this in YouTube.
